Shopper’s Protection insurance is an optional insurance cover for your Gem Visa card. It is like having a friend who’ll come to your rescue when things go wrong.¹ Take out Shopper’s Protection on your Gem Visa card and you’ll get access to the following shopping benefits:

Price protection


If your purchase goes on sale at the same retailer (even if it’s a different location) within 6 months, we’ll refund the difference.¹

Merchandise protection


If the item you buy is lost, stolen or damaged, we’ll pay for it to be replaced or repaired.¹

Balance Protection


If you can’t work due to sickness or injury or you lose your job, we’ll reduce your Gem Visa account balance by up to $5,000.

Life Cover


It's nice to know your family is protected. Should you pass, we'll payout your balance up to $20,000.

Stolen card protection


If your Gem Visa card is stolen we’ll give you $200 just for the inconvenience.¹
